It was a hell of a day that started off bright and early for the shooting of Emergin’ Montreal Rap Artist Blackerb‘s new Videoclip. The shooting took place at my studio. Set-up started at 7am and the wrap was done by 9pm, the place was cleaned by 11pm! The studio stood the test as we received about 20 guests throughout the day. It was also my first experience as Director of Photography and I guess you could say that the test was Conclusive! I must say that it was a great collaboration piece done with Director Fred Guindon, and an Experienced Pro Team of Technicians composed of Gabriel Allard, Maxime Goulet, Nik Mirus and François Lachapelle, who was also the Set Photographer. His Pictures of the Making Of will soon be showcased on my Blog!
Now I’m really looking forward for my day off! But rest assure that I’m keeping busy, planning ahead the next Videoclip I will be shooting with Director RockLapin, for the account of Montreal’s own Pornorobo!!! The concept will be different with this one, as the Director selected 4 photographers to shoot pictures of the Band that will later on be edited together to create the Clip. My part consists on doing Stop Motion photography of the band in action for the Final scenes of the Clip, a great way to explore both photography and film-making!
