Here is an installation I shot for the 2010 Grafika Contest. The installation was conceived by designer and friend Karim Charlebois Zariffa and was built over a period of two days. This image is currently used in the print ad campaign and a second image was produced for the contest’s official Trophee prize that will be given to winners. The concept was to recreate aboriginal art using wooden beads to create typography. Hundreds of beads were carefully positioned by Karim’s assistants following a precise design. My challenge was to light these beads to show texture but also underline the text, creating depth to make sure it was readable. Another nice graphic project!
