Jacques Landry – cycling
For the 25 years of Alliance Sport-Études has supported high profile amateur athletes throughout their studies. To celebrate their 25th anniversary, I was approached to produce a series of 25 portraits featuring athletes that went through the program. After their athletic careers, they have grown to become professionals in their line of studies.
Maxime Boislard – rowing
The idea was to shoot them now, in their new environment. I decided to create full body portraits within their new environment. A lot of them stayed close to their sport, developing either their coaching skills or developing exclusive products related to their sport. A lot of them started their own company based on their knowledge on training and health.
Jean Pascal – boxing
Everyone of them had an amazing story of perseverance to tell, and everyone of them made sacrificed to follow their dream. It was very inspirational for me to meet them and have the time to hear their trials and understand their path. A privileged contact that led to these portraits. Here is a selection from these 25 portraits.
Marie-France Dubreuil – figure skating
On Nov. 25th, a gala was thrown, gathering generations of athletes. The pictures were presented in a beautiful exhibition and each one of them was offered for auction.
François Bilodeau – volleyball
The whole campaign was shot on location around the province. It was a pretty hectic schedule to follow but we made it through. Of course, we couldn’t scout locations, but we had to make sure we could shoot a full length portrait to respect the concept.
Caroline Ouellette – hockey
It was nice to participate in such a project and get to know the story behind these athletes. It’s pretty amazing to see how far people will go to achieve their dream and that after the spotlights, there is an afterlife!
