Tomorrow I will be doing something I don’t often do (read almost never), I’ll be shooting during a live performance. I’ll be capturing moments during the shooting of a music video. I expect to have an hour with the band but most of the day will be shooting while the music video takes place. The idea is to find interesting vantage points the create scenes, get closeups and we will select based on what we’ve got. Not having specific guidelines, I’m pretty much free to shoot what I want. Pretty cool. The only downside is that I won’t have much control over lighting as we’ll be using stage lights which in the end is quite liberating as I can simply concentrate on composition and moment. I will of course need to maximize ambient lighting. Looking forward to the experience.
