Wood carving has been in my family for generations. My grand-father used to make beautiful Canadiana relief sculpture. He made furniture and had a complete workshop. My dad followed in his footsteps and is just waiting for retirement to get back to wood sculpture. I’ve always liked wood, such a noble material.
So when I walked by this piece back in Art Dubai, I was naturally drawn to it. Unfortunately, I couldn’t identify its maker, but it kinda struck my imagination. One day, I would love to learn how to work with wood. For the time being, I’m sticking to construction! I’m actually getting sorta good at it!
